My name is Beatrice, Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology (GGAST) class of 2013. Before coming to Gashora I wanted to be a doctor; but like an average girl in Rwanda, I didn’t see a clear picture of how to make my dreams come true. I did know that my academic performance would determine whether or not I went to secondary school and what my future would hold. After receiving one of the top two test scores in my district on the National Examinations I was awarded a scholarship to study at GGAST.
